Discussion

This spit was excavated to define the relationships between ditches 012AC00335 and 012AC00337 and defined that ditch 012AC00337 cut through the pit 012AD00368 (never clear on the surface). The material removed was a sansy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). The finds were quite evenly spread across the spit (no obvious clustering).
