Discussion

This area was (partly) originally the baulk between areas 12AB and 12AC, and was removed by machine during in the 1995 (17/07/95) excavation season. It was also attempting to define part of post hole structure 012AC09504. The area was cleaned by trowelling and then the finds were lifted under this number. The material removed was generally a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Very few finds (all from the vicinity of north-south aligned ditch 012AC09500) and no animal bones were recovered.
