Discussion

This spit was excavated to define the relationship between ditches 012AC00062 and 012AC00064. It was located in the extreme north-east section of area 12AC. The material removed was a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). The spit also defined the western terminus of slot 012AC00137. All of the finds (which were animal bones only), were from above ditch segment 012AC00064.
