Discussion

This spit was excavated in order to determine the relationship between three north-south aligned enclosure ditches (012AC09500, 012AC07209 and 012AC09501). The material removed was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Most of the finds were located above the two easternmost ditches (012AC09500 and 012AC07209).
