Discussion

This was a layer of loamy sand (Munsell colour 10YR 5/6), sealed by the darker layer 002CA00033. The deposit contained far less inclusions than 002CA00033 above. Five flint artefacts were recoverd, as well as some possible Anglian sherds. This deposit equals context number 002CA00206, which was issued in the following season (1987), to lift the finds which had eroded out of the sandy deposit over winter.
