Discussion

This was a number given out as a master for seven gridded spits (002CB00012, 002CB00021, 002CB00024, 002CB00037, 002CB00038, 002CB00039 and 002CB00040) in the central-eastern part of area 2CB. However, as finds were recovered under this number, it has been treated as a spit in its own right. The material removed was generally a loamy sand (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). Finds included a Roman copper alloy enamelled disc brooch.
