Discussion

This was a cleaning spit across the pit complex 002CB02449, excavated to clearly define the edges of the complex. The material removed was variable in colour, texture and soil type. Finds include 22 Anglian sherds and an unfired clay loomweight fragment. This was the only spit in area 2CB which contained more animal bones than objects.
