Discussion

This spit was excavated across the centre of the structure 012AF07215, removing a layer of hillwash in an attempt to resolve questions regarding the possible robber trench 012AF00146. The material removed was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), containing up to 50% chalk inclusions. Finds included painted Crambeck ware.
