Discussion

This was a narrow, rectangular spit  in the north-western corner of area 2DB, cleaned back after the baulk had been machined away. The material removed was a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Three Grubenhäuser (002DB00153, 002DB00160 and 002DB00162) were either wholly or partially defined.
