Discussion

Although indicated as a continuous cleaning spit in the plan above, this was in fact a cleaning over selected areas, where natural hollows still containing hillwash deposits were excavated to test for the peresence of features. No features were defined by this exercise, and this was the final spit over the south-eastern quadrant of area 2DB.
