Discussion

This was a narrow spit, excavated to the east of stone setting 012AD05466. The material removed was a dark (Munsell colour 10YR 3/2) silty clay loam. Partially defined were slots 012AD05436 and 012AD05534, and pits 012AD05550 and 012AD05572.
