Discussion

This was one of five layers (with 011BD01582, 011BD01583, 011BD01584 and 011BD01585) in an excavated section to the west of the spring pool. This deposit was a clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/2). The only finds were a sherd of late Roman pottery, a cattle horncore and a sheep/goat tibia. It partially sealed enclosure dtch 011CD07113.
