Discussion

This was a layer of sandy material (Munsell colour 10YR 3/6), located to the south-west of the spring pool. Charcoal flecking was noted throughout the deposit. Finds included a single Anglian pot sherd and a fragment of Niedermendig lava. It appeared to be contiguous with layer 011AD00036 to the east, although no direct stratigraphic relationship was established.
