Discussion

Very little information was recorded for this context, apart from the fact that it was a box section across the eastern part of the stream channel. It was located immediately to the north of spit 002CA00860. It appears that three distinct layers were encountered in the section, the uppermost layer 002CA00863, the next being a gravel deposit (002CA00864) and the final layer being sand (002CA00865). No further details about any of these layers was recorded. The only finds were three flint flakes and two fragments of sandstone, with a single animal bone from 002CA00863.
