Discussion

This was a blue-grey clay layer (no Munsell colour was recorded), sealed by one chalk pebble surface (011AD00010), and sealing another (11AD00013). Finds included a fragment of Niedermendig lava, a sherd of Roman grey ware and a flint blade. Fourteen of the nineteen identified animal bones were cattle bones.
