Discussion

A curvilinear ditch in area 12AB, cut away at both ends. This is the middle phase of three similarly aligned ditches (with 012AB07192 and 012AB00134 to the west). The ditches were cut by three east/west aligned enclosure ditches (012AB00128, 012AB07171 and 012AB07194), by rectilinear enclosure ditch 012AB07189 and by pit 012AB00498. All three cut through east/west aligned ditch 012AB00242. The ditches are probably Early to Middle Saxon in date.
