Discussion

 A curvilinear ditch in the south of area 12AB. The ditch cut through three ditches (012AB00154, 012AB00242 and 012AB00415) and a slot (012AB00284) and was subsequently cut by three ditches (012AB07171, 012AB07185 and 012AB07190) and a post hole (012AB00553). The south/eastern end appears to terminate just before Grubenhaus 012AB07004. The geophysical survey of the area indicates that the north/western end probably continued beyond 012AB07171 and terminated just beyond the four east/west aligned ditches. A large amount of finds were recovered, some of which may indicate an Anglian date for the feature. A secondary fill (012AB00387) with a higher percentage of inclusions than the primary fill was noted in section. This, however, may be a separate feature rather than a fill of this ditch (especially as it lies in a line with two post holes to the north/east).
