Discussion

This sub-circular pit was located on the chalk on the western edge of the dry valley. The notes indicate that three fills were present (no section drawing could be found). These fills differed in their chalk inclusion rate, with the primary fill containing 5%, the secondary fill 15%, and the final fill, a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/2) with 5% chalk oinclusions.

The pit was cut into chalk, and through the redeposited natural fill of pit 012AD05268, with a U-shaped profile.
