Discussion

 A short east/west aligned ditch in area 12AB. The east end appears to terminate in the vicinity of enclosure ditches 012AB07197 and 012AB07198 to the north and this feature may be related to that series of enclosure. No extension was determined to the west although the ditch certainly extended far enough to cut through the north side of L-shaped ditch 012AB00415. The geophysical survey of the area between 12AB and 12AC showed no extension of the feature although it may have been entirely truncated. Small ditch 012AB01013 to the east may be the remnants of the continuation of this phase of enclosure. The ditch cut through north/south aligned ditch 012AB07199 and was cut by a post hole of master 012AB07200. As with the other east/west aligned enclosure ditches in this area, this is Anglian in date, possibly as late as Middle Saxon (based on stratigraphic evidence).
