Discussion

 A small north/south aligned slot in the south of area 11CD. The slot cut through ditch 011CD07108 to the south and was cut by ditch 011CD07115 to the north. The relationship with ditch 011CD07107 was not established although the slot is likely to have also cut through it. A parallel slot (011CD05469) of indeterminate length is present to the east. During excavation, the slot was thought to be a possible continuation of ditch 011CD07090 but this is unlikely. The slot appears to terminate before the area baulk. The slot was shallow with many chalk blocks, probably packing, along the whole length (see photograph Fill 011CD05457 with chalk packing (facing north)). A deposit of green clay was also present. The slot was cut into chalk natural and buried soil (011CD05443 and 011CD05435).
