Discussion

Fourth spit taken over the ?prehistoric buried soil situated to the west of Grubenhaus 002CA00983 and the excavated stream channel segment 002CA00982. There was extensive burrowing throughout the area of the spit. The number of finds and animal bones has now decreased compared with the two spits directly above this one. Again there is a mixture of potsherds from different periods, and 9 pieces of worked flint, all flakes.
