The middle fill (012AD00689) was a dark ashy deposit (Munsell colour 10YR 3/1), with much daub and charcoal flecking, and less than 5% chalk inclusions (1-5cm indiameter). The final fill (012AD00639) was a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/2), with both charcoal and daub flecking. It contained 5% chalk inclusions, varying from 1-10cm in diameter.
