Ditch 012AD06128 contained 147 objects and 234 identified animal bones, an exceptionally high number for such a relatively narrow, short ditch. The finds included a late Roman coin (irregular AE4 AD 354-364), along with an iron knife. Although most of the potsherds recovered were of a late Roman date, 4 sherds were of a ?Anglian date, with a further sherd defined as post-Roman. Also found were 42 fragments of daub, particularly prevalent in fill 012AD06240, which also had a high charcoal flecking content. The predominant animal species were cattle (83 bones) and sheep/goat (100 bones), with a smaller percentage of pig (34 bones) and horse (16 bones) present.
