Discussion

Only a small segment of this ditch was excavated, and no objects or animal bones were recovered. Careful study of the high resolution geophysics for this area indicates only a faint trace of this feature continuing in either direction, which may point to an earlier phase for this ditch. Although never clearly seen during the excavation phase, the section indicates that the pit 012AD05512 may have cut through the ditch, with a subsequent layer of hillwash sealing both features. As no other stratigraphic relationships existed, there is no matrix diagram for these features.
