Discussion

Although never clearly seen during the excavation phase, the section indicates that this pit may have cut through ditch 012AD05532, with a subsequent layer of hillwash sealing both features. As no other stratigraphic relationships existed, there is no matrix diagram for these features. All of the 5 objects recovered from the pit fill were late Roman potsherds.
