Discussion

A shallow sub-rectangular shaped pit defined under spit 012AC00290 and shown to be cutting enclosure ditch 012AC09500. The pit could be interpreted as a possible small Grubenhaus, given the dimensions of the feature, with 012AC00323 forming an eastern gable post hole although the stratigraphic relationship between the pit and post hole could not be established during excavation.
