Phasing
The only find was a sherd of late Romano-British pottery. However, as the
pit cut through fill 012AD08535 of Grubenhaus 012AD08480,
it must be Anglian or later in date.

Discussion
This was a small pit, cutting through Grubenhaus 012AD08480.
It conatained a single fill, a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), with
very few chalk inclusions. Some daub but no charcoal flecking was noted.
The context record indicates that a bone pin was present, although this
has not found its way into the object record.
The pit was cut into sand and through fill 012AD08535,
with a flat based U profile.
