Discussion

A narrow east/west aligned slot in area 12AB. This appears to be a relatively early feature, cut by NW/SE aligned ditches 012AB00064, 012AB00136, 012AB00256 and 012AB07199. No relationship was established with ditch 012AB01029 to the east. No finds were recovered from the small excavated section. Although not explicitly stated in the record, it is almost certain that this feature had also been assigned numbers earlier in the 1995 season.(012AB00179 and 012AB00180)
