Discussion

A small north/south aligned slot in central 11BD/CD. This is the eastern of two similar slots (with 011CD05247 to the west) of unknown association or function. A line of similarly aligned post holes (011CD07123) lies immediately to the west of the slots but the relationship between the two was not determined. The slot may continue to the north as slot 011BD01666. The fill contained four sherds of Roman pottery including two sherds of Samian ware. A circular hearth (011BD00765) lies immediately to the east of the south terminus.
