Discussion
This pit (excavated as a single entity) appears in plan to be two similar
features. The fill was a sandy silt (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). No daub
or charcoal flecking were noted. Only animal bones were recovered.
The pit was cut into chalk gravel, with a U-shaped profile.
