Phasing

No diagnostic material was recovered from the ditch. It has been phased to the Anglian period by its association with 012AC00335 and 012AC00337 to the east. No stratigraphic relationship with these ditches was established.

Discussion

This was a short (4.35 metres) segment of an enclosure ditch, with the same north-south orientation as 012AC00335 and 012AC00337 just to the east. The fill was a sandy loam (Munsell 10YR 4/3). Charcoal but no daub flecking was noted. Very little material culture was recovered.
