Discussion

A short slot located just on the southern edge of possible Grubenhaus 012AD07058. Although physically adjacent, a stratigraphic relationship could not be determined. The fill was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), containing 30% chalk inclusions and charcoal flecking. The fill yielded three late Roman potsherds, together with a single sheep metatarsal. It was cut into hillwash with a U-shaped profile.
