This was a small remnant of a feature (possibly all that was left of an earlier cut of ditch 012AB00256), only remaining for a length of 80cm. There were no finds from the fill, which was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3), with 15% chalk inclusions. It was cut into hillwash, with a wide-U profile.
