Discussion

 A NE/SW aligned ditch in area 12AA. The ditch cut through small slot 012AA00056 but the relationship with ditch 012AA00170 was not established. The continuation of the ditch to the south/west was also not established although photographs of the area at the time of excavation indicate a feature of the same alignment coming through to the west of pit 012AA00230. This probable continuation is marked on the plan, above. The ditch may be associated with ditch 012AB07171 to the south/west, probably as part of an enclosure system.
