Discussion

Although classified as a "buried soil", the distribution of finds indicate that this in fact was part of the upper ditch fill of 011AB00802. The material removed was a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). Finds included a fragmentary copper alloy pin, a partial single-sided composite bone comb fragment, as well as much burnt daub and fired clay fragments.
