Discussion

 The earliest of a series of three NW/SE aligned pits in area 11CE. The north/west side of this feature was cut by pit 011CE00729 which in turn was cut by pit 011CE00799. The pit lay close to the north/west edge of curvilinear ditch 011CE00549. No finds were recovered from this feature.
