Discussion

A small sub-circular pit in area 11BD. The relationship with larger pit 011BD00553 was not fully established although the section indicates that this smaller pit may be the later feature. A Modern field boundary (011AC10007) cut through the east side of the pit. Three fills were recovered; a primary fill of charcoal (011BD00998), a relatively inclusion-free fill with daub flecking (011BD01124) and a final fill of silty loam with chalk inclusions (011BD01122). The pit contained no finds.
